Jeopardy! Go to London! Форма проведения: игра-квест Цели: 1. Развивать устную речь у учащихся. 2. Воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета. 3. Обобщить страноведческие знания учащихся, полученные на уроках английского языка. Задачи: Закрепить знания учащихся по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона». Развивать положительные личностные качества, тренировать внимание, память, мышление. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и страны изучаемого языка. Оформление: На доске карта Лондона, места посещения на А-4( Ход мероприятия. I. Приветствие ведущего. Quest-leader: Good afternoon, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Today I want spend quest “Jeopardy! Go to London!” The Queen Elisabeth II lost her crown. You can help to find it. Time to introduce your teams. Pupil 1: I am the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Cambridge students”. Our motto is “Learn English!” Quest -leader: Who is the captain of the second team? Pupil 2: I am the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Oxfords students”. Our motto is “Enjoy English!” (Состав команд, их названия и девиз определены заранее.) Quest -leader: Now I have invited a jury to count the points. The members of jury are …(представить жюри) These places where you can search the crown: 1. Hyde park 2. Westminster Abbey 3. The National Gallery 4. Trafalgar Square 5. Big Ben 6. London Eye 7. (приложение 2) Quest-leader: The third place is The National Gallery The National Gallery is a world-famous art museum. The entrance to the gallery is free. This gives an opportunity to a lot of people to get to know about the development of different schools of painting, painters and painting techniques in different periods of time. Look at the projector screen. Who are these persons? (приложение 3) Quest-leader: The next place is Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar Square is the pride of the inhabitants of London. Nelson's Column is a monument in Trafalgar Square built to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson, who died at the Battle of Trafalgar. Many events are hosted at Trafalgar Square, including cultural celebrations, commercial events, rallies and demonstrations, filming and photographic shoots. Now quiz . You got the cards with the letters A, B, C. Choose the right answer and show the card. (приложение 4) Quest-leader: Attention please! The fifth place is Big Ben. Big Ben has become a popular souvenir for tourists. Almost all visitors of London buy a small souvenir in the shape of the world-famous clock. Also Big Ben can be often seen in famous films and ads. Official name of the tower is the “Westminster Palace Clock Tower” or “St. Stephen’s Tower”. Big Ben is only the name of the clock itself along with the bell. Now you need complete dialog about Big Ben. (приложение 5) Quest-leader: Now we come to the sixth place is called “London Eye”. I understand why tourists like it so much, this wheel is one of the highest in the world and the view of the whole city of London from so high is remarkable, in addition you can see all the main sights from there. At night time it’s illuminated. The captain need make up comparative and superlative forms for these adjectives. First team – hot, bad, difficult. Second teams – cold, good, different. Quest-leader: One more place. It is called “London Zoo” It’s a very nice place to relax and spend some time especially with children. It is a world’s oldest zoo. This zoo is pretty big and rich for different kind of animals, birds and fish. I guess here you can find everything. Each team has black box. You should guess what is in it. (teams ask riddle each other) приложение 6 III. Заключительный этап. Подведение итогов игры. Quest-leader: Dear friends, do you like music? Listen to the songs “London Bridge” and sing. Our jury will add up the score of the game. Jury: The score is … to … in smb’s favour. The team “…” the winner. IV. Reflection. Quest-leader asks participants: 1. What did you like? 2.
