"English - the Language of the World" Ход урока. Фонетическая зарядка. Для фонетической зарядки я обычно подбираю тематическую лексику, вызывающую особенные трудности в произношении. [i] Englishman, Disney, films, Mickey, still, dingo [i:] emu, sea, dreamtime, sleeping, eating, leaves, feature [л] country, shut, gum, something, tongue [a:] gardening, large, part [e] well, regularly, America [ае] kangaroo, platypus, ant, animal, catch, average [р] Florida, compliment, crocodile [u:] kangaroo, cartoon, prove II. Речеваязарядка. Более сильные учащиеся отвечают на специальные вопросы, давая полные ответы, а более слабым ученикам достаточно ответить на общие вопросы (да/нет). Teacher (Т): Why do you study English? Pupil (P1): I study English because it's an international language. P2: English will be necessary in my future career. P3: It's stylish and popular. P4: My parents make me learn English. T: Do you agree that English is the most widespread language in the world? P1: Yes, I do. P2: Yes, I do. Three quarters of the world's mail and telexes are in English. P3: English is the main language of business. T: Is English one of the richest languages in the world? P1: Yes, it is. P2: Of all, the 2,700 languages English is one of the richest ones. P3: Recently it has become Јhe language of the planet. III. Сопоставить следующие английские заимствования и языки: Т: As far as you know, there are a lot of words from other languages in English. Now match English borrowings and languages: Spanish algebra, harem Finnish yoghurt, jackal Arabic kiosk, tulip, caftan Russian kindergarten; blitz, waltz, seminar Turkish siesta, embargo, sauna German bistro, sputnik, tundra, tsar French boutique, elite Japanese judo, karate, bonsai Portuguese marmalade, dodo, cobra IV. Приготовлена карта, где страны обозначены буквами алфавита, и при помощи разноцветных магнитов учащиеся дописывают названия данных англоязычных стран и бывших колоний Великобритании. Затем еще раз идет хоровая отработка географических названий, в особенности тех, произношение которых вызывает особые трудности. Т: What English-speaking countries do you kn6w? Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland, the USA, Canada, the Caribbean Islands, Malta, New Zealand, Australia, Nigeria, Kenya, Zimbabwe, India. V. Англоязычные страны и ассоциативные связи с ними. Т: What are English-speaking countries associated with? P1: I'm sure the UK is connected with W. Shakespeare. P2: And the USA produces cars. Henry Ford was the first to produce the cheapest and the most comfortable cars. Прежде чем подробно остановиться на каждой стране, ребята указывают на свои ассоциации с каждой из них. Учащимся предлагается прослушать текст об одном из главных увлечений жителей туманного Альбиона - садоводстве. Задание дифференцировано. Более подготовленные дети после прослушивания отвечают на вопросы устно, а более слабые письменно выполняют небольшое упражнение. Т: Now we have arrived in the U.K., the main English-speaking country, which is famous for its nice gardens. So, I want you to listen to the text and answer the questions. And some of you will have to choose the best title for the following text: English people like gardening. They talk about it in their offices, factories, shops and at home. In the evenings or on weekends everyone works in their gardens. They can be large or small. You will see an Englishman working in his garden in any weather. They grow different flowers, vegetables and fruit there but even if an Englishman lives in a flat in a big city he grows something in a window box outside his kitchen. It seems that they can't live without a garden. If you want to please' them, be very polite about their garden. Make some compliments and perhaps the Englishman will show you his garden and tell you everything about it. And you should listen carefully and say something to prove that you like the garden and think it is the best one in the world.— - What do English people speak about in their offices and homes? - When do Englishmen work in their gardens? - What do they grow there? - What is the best compliment for any Englishman? Задание для слабых учеников - выбрать подходящий заголовок к тексту: a) Compliments b) the English character c) Gardening in England d) Living in a flat VII. Путешествие no США (повторение времен в страдательном залоге). Учащимся предлагается связный текст об авторе знаменитых мультфильмов У. Диснее. Ребятам необходимо вставить глагол в нужном времени и залоге. По мере выполнения работы ученики осуществляют самоконтроль. Завершив по ключам проверку задания, ребята готовятся к пересказу. В то время как слабые ученики еще работают, более подготовленные уже пересказывают текст. Т: Now I'd like you to use the verbs in brackets in proper tense of Passive voice and then retell the text. Walt Disney (родился - to be born) on December 5, 1901. The first Mickey Mouse cartoon (был нарисован - to draw) in 1928. Donald Duck (был создан - to create) in 1936. The first full-length car¬toon feature film "Snow White and Seven Dwarfs" (был сделан - to make) in 1937. In 1955 Disneyland (был открыт - to open) in California. Disney World (был открыт - to open) in Florida in 1971. Walt Disney died in California at age of 65. His films are still (показываются - to show) regularly at the cinema and because of their timeless quality (будут показывать - to show) for years to come. В заключение урока подводятся итоги конкурса на лучший перевод стихотворения об Австралии. Накануне ребятам предлагалось задание перевести стихотворение "I'm Australia" и красочно оформить его. I'm Australia I am a child of dreamtime people, Part of the land, like an old gum tree. I'm a river softly singing, Chanting our song on the way to the sea. I awaked here when the Earth was new, There was emu, wombat, kangaroo, No other man of a different hue, I'm the land and the land is me. I am Australia!
