Hello, My name is Alyona.

I am here to give a short presentation on Safety in water bodies. (Я здесь для того, чтобы выступить с краткой презентацией о безопасности на водных объектах).

The subject of my talk is rules of safe behavior on the water (Тема моего выступления - правила безопасного поведения на воде).

Structure

My presentation is in three parts.

The first part deals with the definition of water safety and statistics of accidents on water bodies (Первая часть посвящена определению безопасности на воде и статистике несчастных случаев на водных объектах).

The second part discusses the possible causes of such accidents (Во второй части рассматриваются возможные причины несчастных случаев)

The last presents some recommendations on how not to drown in a river, lake or sea (В последнем представлены некоторые рекомендации о том, как не утонуть в реке, озере или море)

First part

I’d like to start with the definition of water safety.

Water safety is a security precaution and policy that is related to ensuring safety in and around bodies of water where there is a risk of injury or drowning.

It finds application in various professions, at sports and entertainment events (Безопасность на воде - это мера предосторожности и политика, связанные с обеспечением безопасности в водоемах и вокруг них, где существует риск получения травм или утопления. Он находит применение в различных профессиях, на спортивных и развлекательных мероприятиях)

let's look at the statistics of people killed on water bodies in the Russia. (Давайте посмотрим на Статистику погибших людей на водных объектах в Российской Федерации)

In two thousand and twenty-one, eight hundred and fifty-six people died, one hundred and fifty-three of them teenagers (в две тысячи двадцать первом году погибло восемьсот пятьдесят шесть человек, из них сто пятьдесят три подростка).

And in the two thousand twenty-second year, the death toll was reduced to six hundred and twenty people, one hundred and twenty-three of whom were teenagers (А в две тысячи двадцать втором году число погибших сократилось до шестисот двадцати человек, сто двадцать три из которых подростки).



Second part

The main reasons for accidents on the water include:

  Drunk bathing (Купание в нетрезвом состоянии)
  
• 
  Long - distance swims (Дальние дистанции)
  
• 
  Panic and fear in the water (Паника и страх в воде)
  
• 
  Hypothermia of the body (Переохлаждение организма)
  
• 
  Swimming in unknown places (Купание в неизвестных местах)
  

Third part

Finally, how should we behave on water bodies.

Rules of safe behavior on the water:

• 
  swim only in specially equipped places (купаться только в специально оборудованных местах)
  
• 
  do not swim behind the buoys (не заплывать за буйки)
  
• 
  do not arrange games in the water (не устраивать игр в воде)
  
• 
  do not swim drunk (не купаться в нетрезвом виде)
  
• 
  do not use faulty swimming equipment (не использовать неисправные плавательные средства)
