Khmelnytsky National University was founded in 1962. In 1962 a general technical school was opened in Khmelnytsky Faculty of the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute named after I. Fedorov, on the base which, by order of the Ministry of Higher Education of the USSR, Khmelnytsky Technological Institute of Consumer Services. Its main task was to train highly qualified specialists. for enterprises of the consumer service system. During this time higher the educational institution has passed a difficult way of development, was reorganized in Institute of Technology, Podillya University of Technology, later - in Khmelnytsky State University, and in 2004 - to Khmelnytsky National University 10. The title of the article is “3 Things to Understand about the Slavic Languages”, published in Alpha Omega Translations by Sarah-Claire Jordan. The article draws the readers’ attention to the fact that Slavic languages spoken throughout Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Balkans and some parts of Asia. It considers the problem of understanding Slavic languages and points out three important facts about them. The first valuable information it gives is that there are three branches of Slavic languages: East Slavic Branch, West Slavic branch and South Slavic branch. The second fact is that all Slavic languages descended from the same language, in other words, from Proto-Slavic. The third data is given about characteristics than the Slavic languages share more than other language groups, such as mutual intelligibility and common groups of the consonant clusters, as well as very few nasal vowel sounds. The article is worth reading because the problem discussed in the article is of great interest for both who study one of the languages and for linguists as about 315 million people speak Slavic languages. |
