Осенняя елочка Весной елочки не было, летом не было, а осенью вдруг появилась. Раздвинула листья, травинки, высунулась из земли и удивленно осмотрелась. Деревья роняли листья. Много-много лет прошло с тех пор, но каждую осень, в день елочкиного рождения, деревья вспоминают о ней и дарят ей подарки. Осина дарит красные китайские фонарики, клен роняет оранжевые звезды, а ива засыпает елочку тонкими золотыми рыбками. И стоит елочка растерянная, счастливая, раскинула лапки, а на ладошках подарки. У всех на глазах становится елочка из колючей и хвойной мягкой и лиственной. Вся нарядная и разноцветная. (По Н.Сладкову) Дятел Хорошо в лесу, когда только что выпадет первый снег. Все кругом: и земля, и ветки кустов, деревьев – все белое, пушистое. Шел я как-то по лесу в эту пору. Воздух был удивительно чист. Иду, прислушиваюсь, каждый звук далеко слышен. Вот застучал где-то впереди меня дятел. Я пошел осторожнее, чтобы не спугнуть птицу. Пусть себе кормится. Вышел на старую гарь. Засохшие деревья повсюду торчат. Вижу, на одном из них дятел пристроился. Какой он нарядный! Головка и спинка черные, на затылке ярко-красное пятно, а на черных крыльях белые пятнышки и полоски. Весь пестрый, потому его пестрым дятлом и прозвали. Уселся дятел прямо на ствол, зацепился за него острыми коготками, оперся на жесткий хвост и давай колотить по трухлявому стволу дерева своим крепким клювом. Недаром старается, значит, выискал в гнилой древесине личинку или жука, которые деревья точат, лес портят.
