Moscow is the capital of Russia, its political, economic, commercial and cultural center. Москва - столица России, ее политический, экономический, торговый и культурный центр. It was founded 8 centuries ago by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky. Она была основана 8 веков назад князем Юрием Долгоруким. Historians have accepted the year of 1147 (one thousand one hundred and forty-seven) as the start of Moscow's history. Началом истории Москвы историки считают 1147 год. In the 13th century Moscow was the center of the struggle of Russian lands for the liberation from the Tartar yoke.
