    Description

Specifies the drawing style (color, color mode, and line width) for all line geometry. Line geometry includes the outlines of outlined polygons and the extruded "tether" of Placemark icons (if extrusion is enabled).

    Elements Specific to LineStyle

Width of the line, in pixels.

Color of the portion of the line defined by . Note that the and elements are ignored when is applied to
    and .

A value between 0.0 and 1.0 that specifies the proportion of the line that uses the . Only applies to lines setting width with ; it does not apply to lines using . See also  in . A draw order value may be necessary if dual-colored lines are crossing each other—for example, for showing freeway interchanges.

Physical width of the line, in meters.

A boolean defining whether or not to display a text label on a LineString. A LineString's label is contained in the  element that is a sibling of  (i.e. contained within the same
     element).

Google Earth version 6.1+ does not display labels by default; they must be enabled for each LineString by setting  to 1.

Google Earth 6.1 known issue: LineStrings without a  element will only display the label if the line length is greater than 100m * the number of characters in the label. For example, a label with seven characters ("example") will only display if the line is greater than 700m. This does not affect LineStrings with a  value.

    Example

The following example shows a 50 percent opaque red line with a width of 4 pixels.
