    Write on ONE of the topics (A-E) given below. Look at some possible points to include below the tasks. Write approximately 160 - 180 words.

    1. Sometimes it seems that rich countries are getting richer and poor countries are getting poorer. Can you explain why this is and suggest some possible ways of dealing with this situation?

    • Industrialized countries attract qualified professionals from less industrialized countries.

    • Poor countries need support from wealthy countries, which is not always given.

    • Natural phenomena such as droughts, floods, etc. can make problems worse.

    1. It is well known that Hollywood stars are subject to overwhelming media attention as soon as they become famous. If you were in that position, how do you think that you personally would cope with the pressures of fame?

    • Intrusion of privacy and lack of private life.

    • What characteristics are needed to cope?

    • Honest self-assessment - are you strong enough to deal with this lifestyle?
