Fainting

Learn the words: fainting – обморок

cause – причина; вызывать

to regain consciousness – приходить в сознание Read and translate the text:

The causes of fainting may be different: strong emotion, hunger, fatigue or pain.

In fainting person loses consciousness. Blood doesn’t get to the brain. The face of a person before fainting gets very pale and sweat appears on his forehead. He feels dizzy and weak. His breathing is shallow. His pulse is weak and slow.

If you help a person who lost his consciousness:

1. 
   Lay the person flat on his back.
   
2. 
   Raise his feet a little.
   
3. 
   Loose his dress.
   
4. 
   Cover him warmly and open the window.
   
5. 
   Sprinkle cold water on his face.
   
6. 
   Give the person to breathe in ammonia water.
   
7. 
   Call an ambulance if the person doesn’t regain consciousness.
   

Причины обморока могут быть разными: сильные эмоции, голод, усталость или боль.

При обмороке человек теряет сознание. Кровь не попадает в мозг. Лицо человека перед обмороком становится очень бледным, а на лбу выступает пот. Он чувствует головокружение и слабость. Его дыхание поверхностное. Его пульс слабый и замедленный.

Если вы поможете человеку, который потерял сознание:

1. Положите пострадавшего плашмя на спину.

2. Немного приподнимите его ноги.

3. Освободите его платье.

4. Укройте его потеплее и откройте окно.

5. Побрызгайте холодной водой ему на лицо.

6. Дайте человеку подышать аммиачной водой.

7. Вызовите скорую помощь, если человек не приходит в сознание.
