ABSTRACTThe title of the graduation work is «Teaching methodology of how to solve planimetric tasks on the topic «Polygon area» in the course of geometry at secondary school». The aim of the graduation work is to reveal the methodological peculiarities of teaching students how to solve planimetric tasks on the topic «Polygon area» and to develop systems of tasks on the topic of the research. This topic is one of the most important topics in the course of planimetry and it is explained to students that are in 7-9 classes. While dwelling on the topic «Polygon area», students learn the new concepts, theorems. They are also taught to solve tasks on this topic. The object of the graduation work is the process of teaching geometry at secondary school. The subject of the research is the methodological peculiarities of teaching how to solve planimetric tasks on the topic «Polygon area» in the course of geometry at secondary school. The first part of the graduation work is devoted to the concept of logical and mathematical analysis as part of the school curricular mathematics topics. The main requirements to the students’ knowledge are covered, and the analysis of the theoretical and practical material on this topic is carried out as well. The second part of the graduation work presents the methodological peculiarities of teaching to solve planimetric tasks. In this part of the work, the forms, the methods and the training tools, as well as the methodological recommendations for explaining the topic «Polygon area» are considered.
