Кодекс профессиональной практики IPR Необходимые принципы надлежащего общественного поведения лиц и организаций изложены в Кодексе Профессионального поведения Института Public Relations. Дополнительно Ассоциация консультантов Public Relations имеет Кодекс практики консультирования, который применяется ее членами при консультациях. Как и в других профессиональных органах, с присущим им соблюдением этических стандартов, тот факт, что юрист или организация Public Relations берут на себя обязательства соответствовать некоторым основным правилам, является гарантией нормального делового контакта. Следует подчеркнуть, что члены IPR обязуются соблюдать Кодекс Института, когда вступают в его ряды. При этом рекомендуется, чтобы они привлекали внимание клиентов и работодателей к Кодексу каждый раз, когда это предоставляется уместным. Члены должны также ознакомиться с содержанием Кодексов, принятых международными группами в рамках профессии Public Relations, особенно Афинским и Лиссабонским кодексами, которые поддерживаются IPR.
