Is it a special day in our country? (Yes, it is.) What do people do on that day? {They play jokes and have fun.) (Ученики могут рассказать на русском языке, как они обычно разыгрывают своих друзей и знакомых первого апреля.) Today you’ll learn what people do on April Fool’s Day in other countries. Упр. 1 (c. 140). First, let’s see what Arthur and Rascal do on that day. Open your books at page 140. Look at the pictures, listen and say who an April Fool is. (Ученики слушают запись или просматривают эпизод на DVD и отвечают на вопрос: Rascal is an April Fool. Учитель объясняет значение незнакомых слов.) chase away — выгнать прочь silly — глупый (Дети слушают запись еще раз и повторяют реплики в паузах. Учитель исправляет ошибки в произношении и интонации. (Учитель читает задание и первый абзац текста и объясняет значение незнакомых слов и выражений. Ученики читают остальной текст, выполняют задание самостоятельно, а затем проверяют все вместе.
