    Exercise 1. Rewrite the sentences, using the reported speech.

    1. He said: I have just received a letter from my uncle.‘’

    8. Misha said: “ I saw them at my parents` house last year.”

    9. He said: “I haven`t seen my cousin today.”

    10. “ I don`t go to this shop very often,” she said.


    Exercise 2. Use direct speech.


    1. Tom said he would go to see the doctor the next day.

    2. He told me he was ill.

    3. He told me he had fallen ill.
