Урок 20-21. Модальные глаголы (викторина) Цели: усовершенствовать грамматические навыки по теме «Модальные глаголы»; активизировать навыки диалогической и монологической речи; закрепить лексические и аудитивные навыки. Оборудование: карточки с заданием «Разделительные вопросы»; жетоны-палочки; картинки для составления предложений; карточки для задания 1 (диалог с пропущенными словами) и для задания 6 (пословицы и поговорки) по количеству участников викторины. Ход урока Организационный момент Good morning, my dear boys and girls! Today we shall have ;i competition on the topic "Modal verbs". You will play games and do different tasks. You will get a stick if you do the task better than others. I he winner of our competition will be the person who will have more slicks than other pupils. Let's begin, please. (Учитель сообщает учащимся о проведении викторины по теме «Модальные глаголы». Ученики, успешно выполнившие задание, получают жетоны-палочки. Победителем викторины становится ученик, получивший наибольшее количество жетонов.) Задание 1 Let's remember the modal verbs. Let's name them all together. (Учитель предлагает детям вспомнить известные модальные глаголы. Учащиеся называют изученные модальные глаголы, ;i учитель вывешивает карточки сданными глаголами на доске.) Картонкинадоске: must, could, may, might, can, need, should, ought to. Now we can see different modal verbs. The task for you is to listen to the dialogue and complete it with the words from the blackboard. Are you ready to start? (Первое задание для учащихся — прослушать диалог и заполнить пропуски в записи данного диалога на карточке. Каждый ученик получает индивидуальную карточку. Учащиеся прослушивают диалог дважды. После второго прослушивания ученики зачитывают предложения, в которые вставили пропущенные слова. За каждое правильно составленное предложение ученик получает 1 жетон.) Примерное задание на карточке: Задание 1. Look at that yacht. Oh, yes. They (1)... be rich. I agree with you. They (2)... be famous. May be. Or they (3)... have won a lot of money! Look! There's a girl swimming near them. She (4)... know them. I don't think so. She (5)... be training for a race. One thing is for sure — she (6)... not be afraid of sharks! You are right. Задание 2 I want you to look at the blackboard. You can see some sentences there. Express the same ideas using the Passive Voice. (Учитель обращает внимание учащихся на предложения, записанные на доске. Ученики по очереди вслух зачитывают предложения в активном залоге, а затем выражают ту же мысль, используя пассивный залог. Ученик, правильно выполнивший задание, получает 1 жетон.) Примерное задание на доске: Задание 2 You should stop these women. Pupils mustn't learn this poem by heart. You can't eat such apples. They have to transport that box immediately. We ought to visit our grandmother in the hospital. He could easily explain the grammar rules. He had to open the window. Must he introduce Jane to his parents? The secretary doesn't have to send this telex. You should sell the old TV set. Keys: These women should be stopped. This poem mustn't be learnt by heart. Such apples can't be eaten. That box has to be transported immediately. Our grandmother ought to be visited in the hospital. The grammar rules could be easily explained. The window had to be opened. Must Jane be introduced to his parents? This telex doesn't have to be sent. The old TV set should be sold. Задание 3 Now it's time to correct the mistakes. Look at the blackboard, please. Read the sentence to yourself, find the mistake and if you are ready put up your hand. (Учитель предлагает учащимся прочитать предложения и найти в них ошибки. Данное задание может быть оформлено на карточках или на доске. За каждый правильный вариант ответа ученик получает 1 жетон.) Read the sentences on the cards, make up tag-questions and let your classmates answer them. (Для выполнения данного задания учащиеся получают карточки с предложениями. Задание — прочитать предложение и составить разделительный вопрос, на который будут отвечать одноклассники. Ученик, составивший вопрос, и ученик, который ответил на него, получают по 1 жетону.) Следует обратить внимание учащихся на необходимость использования модальных глаголов. Если ученики испытывают затруднения в составлении предложений, учитель может предложить им свои варианты для перевода. За каждое правильно составленное предложение ученик получает 1 жетон.) Задание 6 It's time to remember the English well-known proverbs and sayings in which the modal verbs are used. Match the two parts of the proverbs and translate them. Археологические открытия Цели: развить навыки изучающего чтения; активизировать материал по теме «Цивилизация и прогресс»; усовершенствовать навыки устной речи. Оборудование: картинки по теме «Цивилизация и прогресс». Ход урока Организационный момент Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning, teacher!) I haven't seen you for ages. I am glad to see you again. {We are glad to see you too.) How are you? (We are fine, thanks. And how are you?) I am fine, thank you. Sit down, please. We shall have a talk how people can learn from the past. Активизация материала по теме «Цивилизация и прогресс» It is time to open your textbooks on page 86 and look at the pictures of exercise 1. What can you see? Answer the questions from this exercise, please. Who is ready to start? (Учитель предлагает учащимся открыть учебники и обратить пиимание на изображения (с. 86) и картинки по теме «Цивилизация и прогресс», заранее развешанные на доске. Ученики выполняют упр. 1 (учебник, с. 86) — зачитывают вслух вопрос и отвечают на пего. Во время подготовки ответов учащиеся используют словосочетания изданного упражнения.) Речевая разминка Read the task of exercise 2, page 86, in your textbooks. If you put the words in the logical order, you will learn the definition of "civilization". Let's divide into groups of four. You will work in groups and describe the picture of exercise 3, page 87, in your textbooks. We shall listen to your stories in two minutes. Your time is up. I'd like you to make up some sentences using the words from exercise 4 on page 87. (Учащиеся устно выполняют упр. 2 (учебник, с. 86). После проверки задания ученики делятся на группы по 3—4 человека для выполнения упр. 3 (учебник, с. 87). На это отводится 2 минуты, затем группы по очереди представляют свои мини-рассказы. Для выполнения упр. 4 (учебник, с. 87) учитель может предложить учащимся разделиться на пары и в течение 1 —2 минут составить предложения, а затем озвучить свои варианты перед классом.) Развитие навыков изучающего чтения It's time to read the article from exercise 5, page 87, in your textbooks and find out if you are right. Is everything clear? Start then. Have you read the text? (Учащиеся выполняют упр. 5 (учебник, с. 87) — читают про себя статью с целью выяснения правильности своих догадок. На выполнение данного упражнения отводится 3—4 минуты. You will read the article from exercise 5 on page 87 again and agree or disagree with the statements. Who has finished? Read the sentences one by one and say if they are true or false. (Учащиеся выполняют упр. 6 (учебник, с. 88) — повторно читают статью из упр. 5 (учебник, с. 87), а затем выбирают верные и неверные предложения из упр. 6. Дополнительное задание — исправить неправильные утверждения.) Тренировка навыков устной речи на основе прочитанного текста It's time to divide into pairs and discuss the questions from exercise 7, page 88. Read the questions, please. Can you share your ideas? (Учитель предлагает учащимся прочитать вопросы из упр. 7 (учебник, с. 88).
